March 2: Truck O Babies Photoshoot and Exhibition Event

Welcome to MARCH MADNESS! Monday evening I got a message through Facebook – would you like to shoot a pickup truck full of baby dolls? Lets see it took about 3 minutes and my response was YES! Now I know there may not be a lot of commercial opportunity obvious in this concept, but I can say that I’m not just a business person and I appreciate opportunities to create art. When I create I would like it to be toward uplifting social purposes. In the past month there have been two earthquakes with thousands dead and injured in Haiti and Chili. We have plenty of conditions here in the Detroit area that need support throughout the year as well.

The Photoshoot

Starting at 10:30 am I’ll be shooting models (female and male) artistically with the Truck O Babies. I’m interested in creating art for sale, the models will walk away with prints of work created. That said – I’m interested in a wide variety of looks and implied / nude work will likely command a lot of attention. I’ll be donating a portion of profit from anything sold during the exhibition at night from the Truck O Babies shoot to American Red Cross Relief Fund for Haiti & Chili. I’ll also donate a portion to local Detroit charity.

Lets create art! Call me if you are interested in participating as a model (or art director with talent) in creating art mid-day on Tuesday, March 2nd between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm. I’ll have some tasks to accomplish in my work-day and will be shooting as often as permits and with talent as they are available. I need to know when you’ll be here, for how long, and any props / ideas you have to capture with the babies.

The Party & Photo Exhibition

We have a birthday celebration planned for Shanna “Illiana” from Oblivion Entertainment. The schedule for performing talent is fairly open for the night as best I know at this time. I’ll be confirming that as time permits through the day, building our roster for the night with David’s guidance. Admission for the party is just $5, and we’ll have drinks available from the bar. Exotic Zone Gallery is an 18+ establishment that caters to the creative community. We’ll be open from 9:00 pm until 2:00 am.

Exhibition of photo prints from the Truck O Babies will be featured in the gallery. I can’t commit to having work framed, but we’ll do our immediate best in having prints available for purchase. As mentioned above, I’ll be offering a portion of proceeds to relief charities both abroad and local. Please support the arts and our ability to assist the world creatively.
